Web Dashboard

• New Premium Link Servers feature !
  • You can now link one of your channels with a channel in an other Discord server, the messages are mirrored and translated in both directions.
    • Example : your #general in french linked with the #general-en of a partner server in english
  • A link can hold 2 servers or more, and every server inside it must use a different language.
  • The server that receives the translated message is the one paying the characters.
  • You need Manage Server, Manage Channels and Manage Messages on both servers to create or change a link.
  • Channels already used by Link Channels or Premium Link Channels are greyed out with the reason written next to them, so you can see why they can't be picked
  • When the channel you target is already in a link, the page tells you that you are joining this link
    • Its language is filled automatically and locked
    • The languages already used in that link are removed from your own language list
  • You can change the channel and/or the language of your own participation at any time
  • Removing your channel from a link that only has 2 servers deletes the whole link for everyone, a confirmation is asked before

New Premium Features

• New linkservers feature !
  • You can now link a channel of your server with a channel of another server, and every message is translated between them
  • A link is not limited to 2 servers : any number of servers can join the same link, with one channel each
    • Each server of a link must use a different language
    • A channel can only be in one link at a time
  • List of the new commands :
    • /premium linkservers add -> Link one of your channels with a channel of another server
    • /premium linkservers remove -> Remove one of your channels from its link
    • /premium linkservers list -> View all the links of your server
  • To create a link, you must be a moderator (Manage Server, Manage Channels and Manage Messages) of both servers
    • Creating a link needs characters, but removing and listing are free
    • If the channel you target already belongs to a link, you join that link instead of creating a new one
  • The characters are consumed by the server receiving the message
    • Both servers need enough characters for a message to go through, and the translation model used is the one of the receiving server
    • A server that runs out of characters stops sending and receiving until it has some again
  • Threads and forum posts are mirrored too
    • A forum channel can only be linked with another forum channel
  • A channel cannot be in a linkchannels group and a linkservers link at the same time
    • The add commands of both features will tell you which one to remove first
  • The other servers of your links are notified when a server joins or leaves one of them
  • When a server sharing a link with you is running low on characters, you get an alert in your configured channel
    • You never see their numbers, only that their translations may stop

• Commands and arguments are now translated over all the languages !
  • This means that the /help command for example can still be used by everyone, but you can find it in your own language too (depending of the Discord's client language)
• Removed the 3 following commands : Translate to English, Translate to French and Translate to Russian
  • Instead, there is still the Translate one and a tip is showing up if you have not set up your language using the /personal command.

  • When the Minimalist mode of flag reactions is enabled and you have premium, a new Customize the message button appears in your server settings
  • A dedicated page lets you design exactly what the bot sends for a flag translation, with a live Discord preview on the right that updates as you type
  • Choose one of two layouts :
    • Text & Embed : a plain text and/or up to 10 embeds (like Discord), each with title, description, color, author, thumbnail, image, footer, fields...
    • Components V2 : a container with text, separators and link buttons
  • Insert variables that are replaced when the message is sent, sorted by category.
  • Full Discord markdown is rendered in the preview
  • Discord limits are enforced live (2000 characters for the text, 4096 for an embed description, 6000 for the whole message, up to 10 embeds...)
    • Make sure to respect based on the potential translation length
• New Per-thread config on forum channels setting ! (in Translation configurations)
  • When enabled, name a forum thread with one of these prefixes (matched at the start of the name, before the first space) to apply that configuration to the thread instead of the forum channel's global one :
    • tb:pr:fr/en/es → premium reverse french, english and spanish
    • tb:r:fr/en → reverse french and english
    • tb:c:en → channellanguage on english
  • This does not work if a linkchannel or premium linkchannel is set up on the forum channel
• The Supported Languages page now shows each language's Google language code next to its name (handy to know which code to use in the per-thread thread names)

New Classic Features

• Per-thread configuration on forum channels !
  • New /config forum_thread command : set enable:True to turn the feature on for your server. It can also be toggled from the dashboard
  • The command reply explains exactly how to name your threads : start the thread name with tb:<config>:<lang1>/<lang2>/... (matched before the first space)
  • The configuration is read live from the thread name (no storage) ; renaming the thread updates it
  • Has no effect if a linkchannel or premium linkchannel is set up on the forum channel, or if the prefix/languages are invalid (the forum's global config is used instead)
• /languagelist now shows the Google language code in parentheses next to each language

New Premium Features

• Custom Flag Message is now live on the bot (Premium Subscription / Ultimate Version)
  • With the minimalist mode of flag reactions enabled, every flag translation is now delivered using the message you designed on the dashboard, instead of the default minimalist line
  • Works with both layouts (Text & Embed and Components V2) and all the dynamic variables (translation, original message, author, reacting user, languages, flag...), which are filled in automatically at send time
• Per-thread premium reverse on forum channels !
  • Requires enough premium characters or the ultimate version
  • Languages are resolved from their Google language code even when the translation model is DeepL

• 2 new tables on the home page of the website showing:
  • The total number of characters translated since 2026年5月10日
    • This includes all translation and detection methods, and is completely anonymous
    • This information was not tracked before this date

    • This only includes servers that have not disabled the analytics system

• The bot now supports mandatory tags when creating a new linkchannels on forum channels
  • It will match by name, and if no name matches, it will use the first one provided by Discord
• Complete rewrite of the bot and all necessary external processes to provide more management options for me.

  • Two new command groups to track and manage your usage statistics :
    • /analytics_user stats — View your personal usage statistics (this server + all servers combined)
      • Shows commands used, messages detected, and translations triggered
      • Available in 7, 14 or 30-day periods
    • /analytics_user settings_server — Opt in or out of analytics collection on this server
      • Opting out deletes your data for this server
      • Opting back in overrides a global opt-out for this server
    • /analytics_user settings_global — Opt in or out of analytics collection globally
      • Opting out deletes all your data across every server
    • /analytics_server stats — View server-wide analytics (managers only)
      • Shows free and premium detection counts, translation counts and characters used, most used commands, and most active users
      • Provides a monthly estimate (7 or 14-day period) or a yearly estimate (30-day period) of premium character usage to help plan your subscription or usage
    • /analytics_server settings_enabled — Enable or disable analytics collection for your server
      • Disabling deletes all existing analytics data for your server
    • /analytics_server settings_users — Enable or disable per-user tracking for your server
  • Analytics data is automatically deleted after 30 days
  • When a member leaves your server, their analytics data for that server are automatically and instantly wiped

  • This is the model used by the Ultimate format
• Add an option to always use premium translations even on the free configurations
  • You will be able to use your characters and/or ultimate version for better translations for all your configurations
• Add an option to be able to translate webhooks using characters if you don't have the subscription
  • If you have the subscription, it will just change the translation model from free to premium one for all webhooks.

  • This is the model used by the Ultimate format

• Automatic translation of Components using characters and/or Ultimate
  • All the interactions of them won't work because it can't trigger the real interaction of the original bot so a default string will be returned when pressing a button

  • That's to translate all webhooks messages using characters without needs of the subscription.
  • If you have the subscription, it will just transfer the webhook translations from free model to premium model if you do not use the /premium always_use_premium command.

  • It uses the Discord client language, so only 30 languages are supported

New Premium Features

• Introducing a new translation plan. The Unlimited one !
  • This is a subscription for $29.99 per month which gives the same perks as the characters BUT you don't have to worry about the remaining characters
  • This is done using LLM (Google Gemini) with custom settings made for the bot
  • This does not work using Google Translate nor DeepL so you won't be able to change the translation model
  • The documentation says that it supports 72 languages but after few tests it supports all the free plan supports too.
    • Remaining premium characters will not be consumed if you take the unlimited plan, they will stay until the subscription ends.
    • According to the Google's terms, translations done using this plan will not be used to improve their products

Fixes

• The bot tried to create a new webhook when a specific error was raised on (premium and free) linkchannels even if the bot already had a webhook.
• Handle of multiple connectivity errors with discord
• There was an error when trying to load the servers on the dashboard when some users were logging in at the same time
• Reduced the time between sending translations to the bot. This only has a visual impact on premium translations but affects everyone.

New Premium Features

• 69 New languages added on DeepL translation model
  • Now purposes 101 languages

• Sri Lanka flag was translating into Tamil, now it uses Sinhala which is the main language of the country

  • This one is used to reset the values of the alert channel and the alert limit of characters

Fixes

• The bot was not using DeepL at all, even when the model used was set to DeepL.
  • This was an error on my end and fixed it before publishing this update
• The bot was not getting the message when doing a flag reaction.
  • When the bot is not able to get it, it now does send an error message

The bot has been available for 5 years now (yes, it's its birthday).

I wanted to thank you for your trust, your ideas, and all of our hard work. Without you, none of this would exist.

These five years working on the bot have been very formative for me.
I've been able to work on various projects that are more or less important in my life, and it's all thanks to you!

Today, I am proud to say that our work serves more than 8.6 million users, nearly 70,000 servers, and also more than 86,000 individual users (for their private messages, for example).

Admittedly, there have been a few hiccups, including service outages, for which I apologize, but these things can happen given that I am self-taught and have no formal training as a developer.

I would also like to announce that I have received several offers to buy the bot (from other Discord bot creators or cloud service vendors), but none of them interested me. The goal behind this bot has never been to generate profit, but to provide a solution for everyone to an existing problem on Discord while maintaining a financial balance with infrastructure costs.
You have trusted me until now, so I will not let any entity use your trust to generate maximum profit.

  • When you share the URL of your server for your moderator friends and they are not connected, after login they will be redirected to the same URL as your share
• New Update page on the dashboard.
  • It references all the updates of the bot since this bot is out (1st update : 2021年4月1日)
  • You can filter them to search the updates happened X month of Y year (e.g: all updates of march and april 2024)
• New gift announcement settings for your server
  • You can now manage when someone is making you a gift of characters, to publish the information in a channel
• When you are connected and have an avatar decoration, it is now shown with your profile picture

  • When a user wants to purchase some characters for your server and doesn't have the manage permissions, he can now use this command to make a purchase for the server
• New /config gift commands !
  • It includes all the commands below :
    • /config gift channel -> Select the channel where you receive the announcements of gifts made
    • /config gift enable -> Enable or disable the gift announcements
    • /config gift message_type -> Select if you prefer to receive a standard message (will mention the user) or an embed as an announcement
    • /config gift status -> View the settings applied for all other commands

Fixes

• On the support dashboard, if your token was expired and needed to sign in again, the dashboard redirected to the page.
  • Now it only redirects you if you were on a login needed page (manage you or your server)
• An error made the bot to not respond to the Context App Commands when using it in a thread if the bot is not member of this server
  • This was a library error, the update of the library now fixed it
• The custom abbreviations were not working on flag reactions
• The translation library have been updated to get less bugs and to be more efficient
• Certain fragments of blocking code are sent to specific threads in order to avoid blocking the bot for an extended period.
• Added a system to check permissions before performing actions on the bot (linkchannels, reverse, etc.).
  • This is the main reason why the bot was banned for 24 hours.

Fixes

• Improvments on the health check method. The bot was sometime restarting even without problems.
  • The old health check was checking for the timestamp in a file written by the bot (sometime the bot forgot to write on it and stopped so the health check was not working anymore until restart)
  • The new health check is checking is using a simple web server
• Improvments in RAM usage about the caching methods

  • You can set up custom abbreviations that will be used before translating some text for a better translation system.
  • Example : you put btw in a message, then for the bot in the translation it will be by the way
