Personal Language
The /personal command lets each user independently choose which language the Translate Apps context-menu command translates into for them. This setting is per-user, not per-server.
Slash Command
Section titled “Slash Command”/personal — Set your personal output language
Section titled “/personal — Set your personal output language”/personal [language]Pass the desired language as a parameter. After that, every time you use the Translate context menu on a message, it will be translated into your chosen language. By default (without running this command), the bot uses your Discord client language.
Dashboard
Section titled “Dashboard”Your personal language can also be changed in the dashboard from your Profile page:
- Log in to the dashboard.
- Click Profile in the left sidebar.
- Under the language preference section, click Select your language and choose your preferred output language.
- The setting is saved automatically.
- This setting applies only to the Translate context menu (right-click → Apps → Translate).
- It does not affect auto-translation features like
/defaultlanguage,/channellanguage, etc. - Each Discord user has their own independent personal language setting.
- If no personal language is set, the bot uses your Discord client language.
