Custom Abbreviations

Define abbreviations or shortcuts that are expanded into their full meaning before a message is translated. For example, configure tbhto be honest so the translator always receives the full phrase.


/abbreviations add — Add an abbreviation

Section titled “/abbreviations add — Add an abbreviation”
/abbreviations add [abbreviation] [full_meaning]

Parameters:

  • abbreviation — The short form to detect (e.g. tbh).
  • full_meaning — The full text it should expand to before translation.

Example:

/abbreviations add tbh "to be honest"

/abbreviations list — View all abbreviations

Lists all abbreviations currently configured for the server.


/abbreviations remove — Remove an abbreviation

Section titled “/abbreviations remove — Remove an abbreviation”
/abbreviations remove [abbreviation]

Removes the specified abbreviation.


  1. Open the dashboard and select your server.
  2. In the sidebar, click Custom Abbreviations under Features.
  3. Click Add new abbreviation to create a new entry.
  4. Fill in the Short Form — the abbreviated text to detect.
  5. Fill in the Full Form — the complete text the abbreviation expands to before translation.
  6. Click Save Changes to apply.
